PMH for MDA

 MDA Summer Camp

Since 1995, the MDA has offered summer camps for youngsters with muscular dystrophy and related diseases, providing an unforgettable week where children with disabilities can just be children amongst friends.

The camp is comprised of a wide range of activities specially designed for young people who have limited mobility or use wheelchairs.  MDA summer camp activities include fishing, archery, karaoke, horseback riding, boating, and more.

More information, including testimonials, FAQs, and photos, can be found on the MDA's Summer Camp Website.

 Legal Leaders of Birmingham

As a member of the MDA's Legal Leaders of Birmingham program, Meadows & Howell, LLC is seeking to raise awareness about muscular dystrophy.  Muscular dystrophy is a group of inherited disorders that involve muscle weakness and loss of muscle tissue, which get worse over time.

In order to continue to send children to MDA's summer camps at no cost to their families, donations from caring people are needed.  It is our goal to raise at least $800, which is enough to send one child with MDA to summer camp.  We need your help to reach this goal; please donate what you can for this worthwhile cause.

Donations can be made via our MDA Donation website.

 Why Donate to the MDA?

The MDA is a nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy, and education.

Aside from being a worldwide nonprofit  with extensive reach, local MDA branches seek to become involved in the lives of those families affected by muscular dystrophy.  The MDA offers a multitude of support groups and clinics to help families cope with caring for children with special needs.

As a nonprofit, the MDA's success in being able to provide this network of support is reliant upon donations from the public.  Please help us send a child to MDA summer camp by donating to this worthy cause.
